You can share it with your whole team, so any supervisor can generate a professional proposal in 5 minutes without prior writing experience.

  • ChatGPT Plus account at chatgpt.com ($20/month — required for Custom GPTs)
  • Your company name, services, typical pricing ranges, and insurance info
  • 1–2 sample proposals to use as format examples (optional but helpful)
  • Time needed: 30 minutes to build; 5 minutes per future proposal
  • Cost: $20/month ChatGPT Plus

How-To Guide: Create a Custom Bid Writer in ChatGPT

Step 1: Navigate to the GPT Builder

Log into chat.openai.com. Click your profile picture in the top right corner. Select My GPTs, then click + Create a GPT.

  1. Go to chatgpt.com → log in
  2. Click your profile picture (top right)
  3. Select My GPTs
  4. Click + Create a GPT

What you should see: The GPT Editor with two panels: a chat on the left (where you'll configure it) and a preview on the right. Troubleshooting: If you don't see "My GPTs," you may be on the free ChatGPT plan. Custom GPTs require ChatGPT Plus ($20/mo).
